How I got into programming

As I said I’ve always had a great passion for technology and innovations, but I discovered I wanted to be a software developer when I started coding at school.

I realized that by programming I was able to bring anything to life, like creating a simple calculator or maybe a website.

I had even started coding a video game with my friends, an experience that taught me a lot about teamwork and the division of labor.

Key points

Approach and Methodology

I have always thought that working smart was better than working hard, and that very often the solution is not the one that requires a lot of work but the simplest one. Throughout my career, I have never stopped updating myself, and when I have to design new software, I always study every possible issue in depth and develop so that the code is flexible and reusable.

Key points I've learned

Here are some key tips I’ve learned during my years as a software developer. They came in handy for me, I hope they come in handy for you too.

Less is better

When it comes to programming the phrase “quantity is better than quality” doesn’t apply, in fact it’s quite the opposite. When I develop new features I always try to do it by writing as little as possible and preferably in the most efficient way. Sometimes it’s better to stop and think than writing tons of code.

Keep learning

In any profession, it can happen that you get comfortable and stop learning. It is very important for me to read and absorb as much as possible to stay passionate about my job and continue to challenge myself and those around me. Whenever I have some free time I try to read and learn something new.

Share

Knowledge is power, but knowledge sharing is even more so. As a developer I could only agree that sharing is the key to improving our skills. Precisely for this reason, when possible, I always try to write new articles to solve programming doubts on my blog and publish new projects on GitHub.
